Goth Shop x The Truman Brewery

Curator: GOTH SHOP art pop up at Truman Brewery | 05–15.12.19 | Goth Shop was an independent pop up curated at the Truman Brewery in 2019. Goth Shop mixed art and underworld culture by collecting and curating unique artworks and objects from alternative artists, photographers and designers. The project combined perspectives of gallery and art store, supporting and promoting independent artists and designers. During the pandemic the project grew online at GothShop.co. In 2022 Goth Shop curated the shop for The Horror Show at Somerset House 26.10.22 - 19.03.23

GOTH SHOP incorporated fine art, photography, fashion and design, launching with over forty artists including Derek Ridgers, Sam Jackson, Graham Dolphin, Cathy Ward, Julie Goldsmith, Tyler Udall, James Concannon, designers such as such as Alexandra Groover, Adele Mildred, and publications such as Sortzine and Gena Tuso’s Look At Us, zines by Mark Pawson, and a bespoke neon collaboration with Gods Own Junkyard.

Goth Shop launched in partnership with the Old Truman Brewery, London, on Hanbury Street, Spitalfields. Press included Dazed Digital and Time Out ( online and print).

The project follows my Book of Black (2017), and looked to promoting independent artists, placing established artists alongside unseen work from different reaches of the underground scenes from the UK, USA and Asia.
